JEWELLER ROBBED.
GAGGED AND KEYS STOLEN. BANDITS LOOT SYDNEY SHOP. (Received May 6, 11.45 p.m.) SYDNEY. May 6. Detectives are investigating a sensational robbery from a city jeweller who, while nearing his home this evening, was bound and gagged, and carried to a local park near his home at Wollahra, where his keys were extracted from his pocket. The bandits returned to his King Street shop in a car, and carried off much jewellery. The victim was Mr. Solomon Cohen. He told the detectives that he was going home when the men alighted from a car and hit him on the head with something which dazed him. He was bound and gagged, and placed in a car. The keys of his shop and of the safe were taken from his pocket and handed to a gang of men who drew alongside in another car. This car sped away to the city. Ihe men then raided his shop and stole diamonds and jewels valued at between £3OOO and £4OOO. The men returned with the keys to Mr. Cohen, and then bundled him out of the other car into Centennial Park.
