FEDERAL OPPOSITION.
UNITY UNDER MR. LYONS. COMING GENERAL ELECTION. MELBOURNE. May 6. At. a conference of the seven Victorian political organisations which are opposed to the Federal Labour Government it was agreed to accept the leadership of Mr. J. A. Lyons in the coming Federal election campaign. The conference pledged itself to unity of political action. The movement is to be called the United Australia Movement. Mr. Lyons made a strong appeal to the parties represented to sink their differences in a common effort to solve Australia's difficulties. It was imperative, Mr. Lyons said, that tlifi Federal Ministry should he removed fiom office. Ife honestly believed that a change of Government was a fundamental necessity, if progress was to he made in the settlement of tho Commonwealth's troubles.
