SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTE. COMPANY STANDS FIRM. REFUSAL TO RE-ENGAGE MEN. [BT TELEGRATH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The dispute over tho manning of the Union Steam Ship Company's liner Monowai was settled to-day and tho vessel sailed for Sydney at 7.30 this evening. The company adhered to its refusal to ro-engage three members of the crew and the union, after a long discussion, agreed that the other men should sign the articles without them. The Monowai was originally scheduled to sail at 4 p.m. yesterday.
