LITIGATION OVER CAR.
FAILURE OF COUNTER-CLAIM. In the case in which Howard Douglas Mortenson (Mr. Mackay) brought an action in the Magistrate's Court against Harrison and Gash, Ltd. (Mr. Peak), for the return of £77 which he had paid as a deposit on a motor-car, tho defendant firm brought a. counter-claim for £3B 3s 6d against plaintiff. The magistrate, Mr. W. K McKean, gave judgment for Mortenson, with costs. The main action failed, judgment being for the defendant company with costs. Security for appeal was fixed at £lO 10s.
