[FROM Ot'R OWN COHRESPONDENT. ] OPOTIK r. Saturday. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Stephen's Church. Opotiki, attracted a large attendance. The vicar, the Rev. N. F. Benhani, presided. 'I lie vicars annual report showed that there was a distinct improvement in the church affairs and that all the organisations were being successfully maintained. The election of officers resulted: Vicar's warden, Mr. A. Brase; people's warden, Mr. W. Anderson; vestry, town members, Messrs. Kirk bride, Pearson, A. Chambers. Hedlev and F. Armstrong; country members, llev. 11. Munro, Mcssis. T. An'slis, T. Jessop, N. McDonald and G. J. Ilonnor; lion. sec. and treasurer, Mr. G. T. Guide; hon. auditor, Mr. h. E. Chapman; synod representative, Mr. T 11. Pearson. A motion was carried I hat Ihe vestry take steps to raise the stipend to the minimum required by synod.
