ARREST AT NEW YORK
PASSENGER WITH TICKETS.
(Received April 12. 6.55 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 11
A passenger bv the Aquitania, whose luggage was searched because of the discovery of liquor, was found to possess 1,000,000 tickets for the Irish Free State hospital sweepstake on t.ho Derby. Hie money for the tickets, if all have been sold, would have totalled about £500,000, of which £BO,OOO would have been the seller's profit.
The tickets were confiscated under the customs law forbidding the cutlance of a passenger with lottery tokens.
