FATAL SHOT WOUND.

WORRY OVER ILL-HEALTH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. A well-known fanner, Arthur Roscoe Morton, of Mount Pleasant, was found dead this morning with a shot wound in his head. A gun was found near the body. A verdict was returned at the inquest that death was due to a bullet wound self-inflicted while in a depressed state of mind, due to ill-health. Mrs. Morten said her husband had been greatly depressed, but bad never threatened or mentioned suicide. Dr. Richard Anderson said ho had attended Morten for the past 10 years. He suffered with his heart and was greatly depressed about his health.
