DAMAGE TO A WINDOW.
PANE DELIBERATELY BROKEN. TROUBLE IN RELATIVE'S HOUSE.
" Accused is a waster and drinks what
money ho gets from relief works," said Detective-Sergeant Kelly in the Police
Court on Saturday, when Thomas Henry Collins, aged 22, labourer, was charged
with committing mischief by wilfully
damaging a window. Ho pleaded guilty.
Mr. Kelly said that at about 8.30 p.m. on Friday accused, who was somewhat under the'.influence of liquor, visited tho house of a relative. When told to go
away he deliberately broke three panes of a kitchen window, causing damage to tho
extent of 10s. The magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, imposed a fine of £l, and ordered accused to make good the damage.
