The Easter holidays in England were largely spoilt by widespread rain. It is estimated that tens of thousands of pounds were lost at seaside resorts owing to the scarcity of visiting holidaymakers, There is i growing demand at these resorts for a fixed Easter at a period when reasonably seasonable weather can be expected.
