RELIEF WORKERS REPENT.
EMPLOYMENT RESUMED.
WARNING PROVES EFFECTIVE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON', Tuesday.
Practically all those relief workers who went on strike last week as a protest against the new relief rates of pay had returned to work to-day. A warning was published on Saturday to the effect that unless the men returned to work by today they would have to stand down and re-register before becoming eligible for further employment. The great, majority of the strikers availed themselves of the opportunity of returning to their jobs to-day without being penalised.
