ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

The Giand Orange Lodge of New Zealand, at a session yesterday, passed, a. resolution recording regret at the passing of (he Nurses and Midwives Amendment Bill, as it was believed that it prejudiced t lie status of the nursing proles-' sion, and placed sectarian hospitals in competition with public hospitals for State aid. Further resolutions . were carried, including one protesting against the extension of the dental clinic service to scholars in denominational schools. Dominion was renewed. Officers were elected as follows: R.W.G.M., Bro. Galbraith (Auckland); G.D.M., Bro. Agnew (Southland) ; Grand Chap., Bro. Benfell; Grand Secretary, Broj Patton.
