GANGS IN CHICAGO.
MURDERS AND ROBBERY. ARMED GIRLS STEAL £SO. CHICAGO, April 1. Two girls, one of whom was in possession of two revolvers, were responsible for a hold-up, which gained them £SO, at tho end of last week, when 43 hold-ups and two ' murders were recorded in Chicago. Ono gang held leisurely possession of a department store for eight hours, and stole £7OOO. At Detroit a man confessed to having killed six members of one family. At Newark a degenerate assaulted a young married woman after drugging her tea. An older woman assisted him in tho crime. When tho victim recovered consciousness several hours later she staggered to a window, and threw out a milkbottle, thus attracting the police, who broke into the place.
