BUCKLEY—BREBNER. The marriage of Miss Jean Brebnef,second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G.' Brebner, of Mount Pleasant Road, Mount Eden, to Mr. Arthur Matthew Buckley, second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A.Buckley, of Mount Roskill, was celebrated at the Balmoral Presbyterian Church on Saturday evening. The Rev,; \V. Gilmore performed the ceremony. Tha bride, who was given away by her fatlier, wore a frock of white satin beaiite with a tight-fitting bodice and very full, flared skirt falling to the anklrs. A true lovers' knot ornamented the front of the waistline, the streamers falling to the hem. Her veil of Brussels net was arranged on the head with clusters of orange blossom at each side, and sho "arried a sheaf of white lilies. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss May. Brebner and Miss Marie Thomson (Rao tihi), sister and cousin of the bride respectively. They wore frocks of shell pink floral georgette with ankle-length skirts inlet on each side with flared frilled panels. They wore pink summer felt hats and carried bouquets to tone.The bridegroom was attended by Mr.: Laurie Stewart as best man, and Sir.; Wallace Buckley was groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk. DOWNING—FORREST. The -wedding -was celebrated recently at St. Paul's Methodist Church. North, between Miss Eileen Caroline Forrest, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.! G. T?. Forrest, Amesburv Street, and Mr.Frederick William Downing, second soil of Mr. and Mrs. T. Downing, of Park Road, both of Palmerston North. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore an ankle-length . frock of deep cream satiij. The bodice was trimmed with V shaped bands, faggot stitched, the long tight-fitting sleeves coining .to a point over the wrist. The skirt was fully flared with tiny hip frills and a hand-em-broidered tulle veil was caught to the head and clasped with sprays of orange blossom. A shower bouquet of roses, and dahlias was carried. Miss Marjorie Forrest attended her sister as bridesmaid wearing a frock of delphinium blue georgette with tight-fitting corsage and two-tiered flared skirt. Streamers of velvet ribbon to tone fell from the shoulders and were caught in a bow at the back, the end finished with'' floweis and reaching to the hemline. Primrose flowers were used as trimmings. A blue silk crinoline hat to tone, turned off the face and trimmed with primrose velvet flowers was worn, and a shower bouquet of cactus dahlias and delphiniums .with primrose streamers was carried. Miss Myra Forrest, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and wore, a frock of primrose organdie with lace poke bonnet trimmed with delphinium blue ribbons. She carried a posy of blue and primrose flowers. The best man was Sir. Alfred /Dodson, of Rotorua. cousin of the bride.The reception was held at Collinson and Cunninghame's Lounge, where Mrs. Forrest received her guests wearing a frock of floral silk with -wine velour felt hat and cinnamon fox fur Her bouquet was of red roses. The mother wore a frock of maroon crepe de chine with fawn trimmings _and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of led dahlias.

FERGUSON—RULE. The wedding was celebrated in rfiei Holy Trinity Church, Otahuhu, recently, of Miss Edna Rule., third daughter of Mr. and Mrs A. G. Rule, of Huia Road, Otahuhu, to Mr. Douglas Ferguson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ferguson, of Avenue Road, also of Otahuhu.; The ceremony was performed by the Rev,C. F. Truman and Miss White played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wora a frock of blush pink georgette oyer Chantilly lace with an uneven hemline. Her veil was of embroidered net, held in placa by a coronet, and a bouquet in tones ' to match her gown was carried. The j bridesmaids in attendance were Miss Maisie Rule, the bride's sister, and Miss Muriel Tucker. Both were in gowns of shell pink crepe de chine, falling to anklelength. Large pandan hats to tone were worn and shower bouquets of dahlias and roses were carried. In attendance as best man was Mr. Gordon Feygusoij, and Mr.William Vince was groomsman? The reception was held in the Kingsforcl Hall, which had been decorated in tones to harmonise with the bridal colours. The bride's mother received wearing a frock of navy niarocain with Bangkok hat to fone, and carried a posy of autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs. Win. Ferguson wore a frock of navy satin with liat to match and carried a posy of dark red roses.

KNELL—PETERSON. The wedding was celebrated in the Cathedral, Hamilton, recently of Miss Olive May Peterson, - eldest daughter of Airs. T. H. Wilmshurst and the late Mr. Henry Peterson, of Hamilton, to Mr. Leonard Sydney Knell, only son of Sir. and Mrs. L. S. Knell, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev.' Dean Barnett. The bride, who was given away by her stepfather, Mr. T. H. Wilmshurst, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine carried to ankle length, and carried a shower bouquet of pink and white asters. In attendance were her sisters, Miss Eirene Peterson and Miss Jean Peterson, who wore frocks respectively of pink and blue crepe de chine with hats to tone. The best man was Mr. Maxwell Walker and the groomsman Mr. Eric j Paterson. A reception was subsequently, hold at Drumrossie, the bride's home, where Mrs. Wilmshurst received wearing a. frock of navy blue crepe de chine with red facings and hat to tone. Miss "Violet Knell, the bridegroom's sister, wore a, frock of pink and blue georgette and pink hat. WE AVER S—CREAMER. The wedding was celebrated on Saturday afternoon at the Milford Baptist Church of Miss Olive Myra Creamer, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Creamer, of Eversleigh Road. Takapuna, and Mr. W. A. Weavers, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Weavers, of Auckland. The Rev. John Hiddleston officiated. _ The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a Victorian frock of white broche georgette with fall flared skirt and long sleeved bodice trimmed with pearls. Her veil of embroidered tulle jvas worn with a cap effect caught across the front and sides with sprays of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. The only bridesmaid was Miss Gwen Probert. who wore sea green crepe de chine with short jacket and black picture hat. A bouquet of pink flowers was carried. Mr. A. Weavers, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. • A reception was held after the ceremony in the church hall, where Mrs. Creamer received her guests wearing a frock of rose beige crepe de chine with black iiat.
