SUCCESSFUL FIRST .FIXTURE LARGE ENTRIES RECEIVED. LIST OF PRINCIPAL AWARDS. The Waiotira Junction Show Association lias every reason to be gratified at the success of its first agricultural and pastoral show, held.on the Domain at Waiotira yesterday, which was opened by the Mayor of Whangarei, Mr. W. Jones. Entries in the largo number of classes all provided good competition, while the standard of livestock exhibited was considered by the judges, who had officiated at many shows during the season, to be of a standard equal to any. The attendance from all parts of the district was estimated to be 20DO.
Great satisfaction with tho success of the show was expressed by the president, Mr.. A. Stephen, who said that the entries. the attendance of the public and the standard of the livestock exhibited all augured well for tho future of the association. Mr. Stephen paid a tribute to the work of the secretary, Mr. H. N. Clift. and the committee, who had been largely responsible for the. success of tho show. CHAMPIONSHIPS.
