TRAMWAY SECTIONS.

Sir,—ln the Herald of March 11, Mr. Allum is reported to have stated that in the rearrangement of the sections on the Mount Eden tram route, "Thisis a cnsc of giving something away." following are the distances from the G.P.O. to the verious termini Dominion Road, 58/ chains; Greenwood's Corner, 389 chains; Great South Road, 403 chains; Owairaka, 402 chains i Three Kings. 401 chains. All of the foregoing are divided- into four sections, so that in making'the alteration in sections on the Mount Eden route the Transport Board is only giving this line a fair deal as compared with the others, and for the life of me I fail to see how anything is being given away. 3 Fair Deal.
