YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH,
Auckland.—A light-, north-east brreze was blowing yesterday and the weather was fine, but the sky was dull and cloudy. There was a slight fall in the barometer, which continues high and was steady at 30.30 in. last evening. Wellington.—lt was cloudy and warn yesterday, wit It, a strong northerly wind blowing until late in the afternoon,'when the wind dropped. Ghristchurch. —The weather yesterday was warm but cloudy with a light wind from the north-east. There were » few heat showers in the late afternoon. The maximum temperature was 77 degrees. The barometer continued to fall the reading in the evening being 29.8/ in. Dunedin.—Conditions wore fine and pleasant, yesterday morning with bright sunshine and a light breeze from the north-east. In the afternoon the sky was overcast. The maximum temperature.was 72 degrees. The barometer fell during the day, but was steady iu the evening at 29.80 in.
