REFORM PARTY CANDIDATE.

MR. WILLIAM JONES CHOSEN,

[by telegraph—own correspondent.] "WHANGAREI, Tuesday.

At a conference of delegates representing all branches of tho Reform League in the Marsden electorate, held at Maungaturoto this afternoon, Mr. William Jones was selected as official Reform candidate at the next general election. The other candidate who offered his services was Mr. Roy Ellis, of Kaipara, Flats. Mr. Jones, who is Mayor of Whangaroi, represented Marsden in Parliament from 1925 to 1928 ; and previous to that was for many years chairman of the Whangarei County Council.
