MUSIC FOR CHILDREN.
JUVENILE CONCERT LEAGUE. MOVEMENT 'IN WELLINGTON. GooA music for the younger generation is the objective of the Wellington Juvenile Concert League, founded by Mr. John Bishop, conductor of the Royal Wellington Choral Union. The league hopes to arrange a series of at least three concerts each year suitable and entirely for audiences of children from the age 3 of, say, 10 to 16 years. These concerts will be instrumental and choral. At each concert simple talks will he given to the children about the works performed. The instruments in orchestral work will be illustrated to them by the individual players, and in many other ways the concerts will be made novel and fascinating to the children. The league has the support and co-operation of the Headmasters' Association in Wellington.
