Th« need for further metalling on the Tauranga-Rotorua direct road was stressed by the Mayor,, Mr. B. C. Robbins, at a meeting of the Borough Council. He said it would be to the advantage )f both Tauranga and Rotorua if the road were completed. A letter -was to be'prepared by the local bodies interested for immediate prcsentat:on to the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. W. B, Taverner. The council appointed Messrs. C.
