EXPLOSION OF FIREDAMP.
31 GERMAN MINERS KILLED. SEVERAL OTHERS IN HOSPITAL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received February 22, 5.5 p.m.) COLOGNE, Fob. 21. Thirty-one miners were killed in a firodanip explosion in a reserve pit at Nothberg, near Eschweiler. Fourteen others were sent to hospital suffering from gas poisoning. Forty pit ponies were killed.
