ROTORUA NOTES.

ARAWA PARK RACES. The opening day of the .Hotorua Racing Club's annual meeting was held at Arawa Park in brilliant sunshine on Saturday. The gardens and lawns were fresh from light showers which fell the night previously. The brightly coloured flowers were a delight to the eye and made an effective setting for the many beautiful frocks which were to bo seen on the lawn. The Municipal Band undjjr the leadership of Lieutenant Tregilgas, played enjoyable music throughout the day. Among those pi'esent were:—Mrs.T.
