Sir, —In the December issue of the Fortnightly Review, is an article criticising the Imperial Conference, and the last paragraphs are devoted to a description of the visiting Primo Ministers. Those of New Zealand and Australia may interest your readers. ... There followed Mr. Scullin, the one-time shopkeeper,_ miner and editor from a remote hamlet in Australia; a Labour politician, short of stature, frail of physique, but earnest and forceful in utterance. Then came Mr. Forbes, of New Zealand; Liberal in politics, the forthright, simple sheepfarmer and former noted' Rugby footballer—'at home in a friendly gathering,' as he said making his simple declaration of devotion to the Empire and the Crown.'
