"TALKIES" IN PRISON.

Sir, —In reply to "A Film Man," I am pleased 'to give the facts regarding the showing of talking moving pictures at the Mount Eden prison over six months "ago. The date is believed to be about March, 1930; certainly considerably before August, 1930. The operator was Mr. Ernest Eady. DeVry equipment was used. The programme included the following talking pictures: "Laugh, Clown, Laugh," "Cohen on the Telephone," and DvVry Cinetone. R. G. H. Manley.
