This person consulted a solicitor, but accused was ablo to bluff tho solicitor sufficiently for his purpose. Accused went to Sydney and thoro secured tho payment of his fare back to Auckland, whero he got in league with others in tho hope of duping someone else by tho samo method. Probation was out of tbo question, and accused would bo ordered to undergo 18 months' roformativo detontion.
