SPECIAL TROPHY WINNERS
[US TELEPHONE. —OWN COKIiESPONDFNT.] DAECriVILLE. Monday The Upper Wairoa Show at Tangito roria oil Saturday was attended by <1 largo number of people, and was a great success. Entries 111 cattlo and sheep sections were larger than at the previous show. Competitions for cups and special trophies resulted : —Challenge Cup, saddle horse, N. Sloan (Waiotira); Upper Wairoa Show Association's Cup, champion hunter, Miss T. Morrin (Mangarata); Omana Cup, dairy Shorthorns, B. P. Hawken, (Maunu); Kirikopuni Cup, for champion Jersey Bull, and also Northern Wairoa Dairy Company's Cup fbr champion butter-fat cow, G. S. B. Morrison; Tangiteroria Cup, grade Jerseys, Cates and Sawyer (Houto); Mangarata Cup, stud Romneys, A. E. Harding (Aoroa); langowahine Cup, flock Romney, Hailes and Ward (Paor'ata). Produce section: Kirikopuni Cup, J Hall (Tangi teroria). Homo industries, Houto Cup, Mrs. N. Williams (Tangowahine). Schools competition, Tangiteroria. FRANKLIN EXHIBITION. LARGE NUMBER OF ENTRIES. [BY TELEGRAHI. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE. Monday Record entries of livestock have been received foi the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society's annual show, to be held at Pukckohe or. Friday and Saturday. The total number of entries is 1162, compared with 1128 last year. North Island championships in Clydesdale horses, Friesian cattle and English Leicester sheep are to be awarded at the show.
