UNEMPLOYED RELIEF MONEY. ALLEGATIONS AT PAPAKURA. "Seventy-five per cent, luxury, was how Mr. H. E. McEmpee, afc a meeting of the Papakura Town Board last evening, described articles purchased by certain people in that district with money granted to them for unemployment relief at Christmas. The committee handed out the voucheis they could not help it if the people wasted them on the purchase of such luxuries, he. said. Mr. McEmpee explained that he wa!i not blaming the local committee but was; simply drawing attention to what hatil occurred. Several members mentioned! that tobacco and cigarettes had appeareci on one list.
