DANCE AT KIHIKIHI.

\ well-attended danco was held in the Town Hall, Kihikihi, on Friday evening. The danco had been arranged to obtain funds for the Kihikihi Catholic Church, hut in view of tho Napier disaster, it was decided to devote the proceeds for tho relief of the distressed, and amid applause Rev. Father Schoonof informed the patrons of tho committee's intention. Tho floor was in good order for dancing and fully 100 couples danced to the strains of the To Awamutu Orchestra and to pleasing extras kindly supplied by Mr. J. McGuire. A dainty supper was served by the ladies. Tho novelty dance was won by Miss Morrow and her partner. In the supper room the nondancers played a progressive euchre tournament, and the winners proved to be Mrs. Richardson and Mr. Shav.-. As a result of tho entertainment, the earthquake fund will benefit to the extent of about £2O.
