Mrs. S. Sharland is the guest of Mrs, J. W. Williamson, of Takapuna,.

Mrs. Owen Mahon, of Mfc. St. John, is spending a holiday in Cambridge.

Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Wootten, of Malay States, arc on a motoring tour of Now Zealand.

Miss Annabollo Wright, who has been visiting Rotorua, has returned to Auckland.

Miss W. Gould and Miss E. Peters, of Remuera, havo returned from a visit to Deep Creek.

Mrs. Meek and Miss Marjoric Meek havo returned to Takapuna after a long visit to Rotorua.

Miss Edna Sinclair, who has been on a visit to Rotorua, has returned to her home in Cheltenham.

The Misses Salmon, of Takapuna, are leaving to-day for the Pelorus Sound, where they will reside.

Jlrs. S. R. Norris, of Remuera, left on Friday by the Ulimaroa, on a visit to Sydney and tho East.

Lieutenant and Mrs. Walter arrived by the Mataroa from England, and are at present staying at Arundel.

The Misses Eileen and Nora Brodie, who have been on a visit to Rotorua, havo returned to Auckland.

Mrs. Webber, senr., who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. L. Dixon, of Onewhero, has returned to Mount Eden.

Miss Elenor Upton and Miss Marjoric Kirker, who have been walking the Milford Track, havo returned to Auckland.

Mrs. Geddis and her daughter, Miss Kathleen Geddis. of Napier, are the guests of Mrs. F. Weston, of Hauraki Road, Takapuna.

Mrs. E. Adkins, of Hunterville, is on a visit to Auckland, and is the guest of her sister, Miss J. Ray, of Ilauiaki Road, Takapuna.

Mrs. J. W. King, of Napier Avenue, Takapuna, who left Auckland at tho beginning of the year, expects to ariivo in England this month.

Mrs. Percy Thomson and her family, who havo recently returned from England, have taken up their residence in Victoria Avenue, Remuera.

Miss Marjoric King, who was in Napier at the time of the earthquake disaster, is at present in Wellington, but is leturning to her homo in Takapuna shortly.

Mrs. Alec. Craigie, of Wellington, and her small son nro spending a holiday at Karekare, West Coast, with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Donnelly, Wheturangi Road.

Mrs W J. Gerlflis, widow of the late Hon. W. J. Geddis, M.L.C., and Miss Kathleen Geddis, have corne to Auckland from the ruins of Napier, and aro staying with relatives at Takapuna.

Lord and Lady Baden-Powell, who are arriving in Auckland next week, will be the guests of the New Zealand Girl Guide Commissioner, Mrs. W. R. Wilson, at her homo, St. Leonards, Takapuna.

Many Aucklanders will remember the visit in October last of the Dutch Squadron. and the genial commander, Captain ,T. do Graaff, of the cruiser Java. In a, recent letter to the Austrian Trade Commissioner, Mr. O. J. Thedeus, ar| d Mrs. Thedeus. he states that ho has been appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Dutch Naval Forces. His flagship is H.M. Sumatra.

Mrs. J. W. Lowe, of Devon port, who was the Auckland delegate for tho Dominion Croquet Council's annual meeting, held at Christcliurch recently, returned to Auckland on tridav. in Christcliurch Mrs. Lowe was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Grower, of Fendalton. By a new arrangement of tho executive of the Croquet Council, sub-committees have been formed to lighten the work of the Dominion secretary, and Mrs. Lowo has been elected on tho editorial committee.
