CHIEF SCOUT'S VISIT.
ITINERARY FOR AUCKLAND. Arrangements for the visit of the Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell, and Lady Baden-Powoll to Auckland are now practically complete. . '*• As the visitors are due at Auckland by the Rangitata on February 18, it has been decided by the Council of the 'Boy Scouts' Association to proceed with the arrangements for rallies in the various centres, in spite of the Hawke's Bay disaster. However, as a mark of the sympathy of the organisation for the people in the afflicted district, each Scout on parade will wear a black cover over the button of the left breast pocket and a small black bow will be attached to the mount of troop flags. Lord and Lady Baden-Powell will be received at Auckland by the local heads of the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. They will spend Thursday, February 19; in Auckland and the Chief Scout will attend a Scouts' dinner on the following day. The Auckland rally will be held on February 21 and on the Sunday the visitors will leave for Hamilton, en route to Rotorua, On the Monday evening they will attend a Maori concert at Rotorua and on the Tuesday they will motor to Wairakei.
Wednesday, February 24, will be spent at Wairakei and on the following day Lord and Lady Baden-Powell will return to Frankton and proceed to Wellington, where they will arrive on the Friday. The Wellington rally will be held on Saturday, February 28, and the party will leave for the South Island on March 2.
