PARLIAMENT OF JAPAN. NAVAL TREATY DEBATE. PANDEMONIUM IN HOUSE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received February G, 5.5 p.m.) TOKIO, Feb. 5. Wliilc the Foreign Minister, Baron fehidehara, was hltemptiripj to close the debate on the London Naval Treaty he remarked that sufficient proof had been given that the treaty had not imperilled Japan's defence by the Imperial ratification. The Opposition became enraged and accused Baron Shidehara ot ail attempt, unconstitutionally and disloyally, to place on the Emperor responsibility for a political act. Several attempts were made to assault him. When the Diet reassembled next day pandemonium soon developed. The Opposition members rushed toward the Minister, threatening tho utmost violenco. Ho was saved only by tho determined resistance of the sergeants-at-arnis. The sitting was adjourned, but the Minister was for long unablo to leave tho Chamber.
