CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland. —The weather in Auckland yesterday was again fine and sunny with a moderate south-westerly wind. The barometer showed little variation throughout tho day, being steady last evening at 30in. Wellington.—Although a light southerly wind blew at Wellington yesterday, tho day was sunny and warm. Christchurch.— '"he weather was fine with a strong breeze. The maximum temperature was 68 degrees. The barometer was rising, the reading in the evening being 30.05 in. Dunedin. —Following a clear, cold night, the weather was fine and pleasant in Dunedin yesterday, with more sunshine in tho afternoon than the morning. The wind was light from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 67 degrees. Tho barometer, which was fairly 6teady during the morning, commenced to rise, and last evening registered 30.00 in.
