WHEAT IN AUSTRALIA £5,000,000 TO BE RAISED. SYDNEY, Feb. 6. The Daily Telegraph Pictorial says that the Federal Government's plan to assist wheat growers has been completed. A special farmers' relief loan of £5,000,000 will be placed on the Australian market. The money will be disbursed to farmers in the form of a bonus on each bushel of wheat. It is intended_ to bring their return to about 3s a busliel. They will not have to repay the money. LONDON DAIRY PRICES. BUTTER IN STEADY DEMAND. NEW ZEALAND 1 14S TO lI6S. LONDON, Feb. 5. Butter is in steady demand. Danish is quoted at 1425; choicest salted New Zealand, 114s to 116s; Australian, 110s to 113s. Unsalted butter is at 2s to 4s premium. The cheese market is slow. Good quality apples are selling freely and more varieties are now coming into the markets. • Good coloured peaches met n firm demand, but pears were hard to sell. Bananas increased in price.
