BURIED IN WEDDING DRESS. Pathetic scenes marked the funeral, at Mitcham (Surrey) of Miss Winifred Gladys Block, who died from heart failure the day before her wedding was to take place. Miss Block was buried in her wedding dress of white satin, with her bouquet, and was wearing both the engagement and wedding rings. A photograph of her sweetheart was placed in the coffin. Just as the service at the graveside had concluded, Mr. Albert Charles Davis, the 23-year-old bereaved bridegroom, collapsed,and had to be carried to the mourning coach; The police had to force their way through a densely-packed crowd o{ between 4000 and 5000. -
