The Rev. G. Budd, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterfian Church of New Zealand, cancelled his visiU to the South Island and has left for Napier to assist in relief work.
The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, is expected in Auckland by the limited express this morning after a visit to the earthquake area. He will leave for Matakohe later in the morning.
Mr. A. E. Leighton, ComptrollerGeneral of Munitions and Supplies to the Commpnwealth of Australia, arrived in Auckland yesterday from Wellington and is at the Northern Club. lies will return to Wellington to-morrow evening, sailing by the Makura for Australia.
