FINES OF £SO AND £4O. PROSECUTIONS AT NELSON. [BY TELEGRAPH. — I'R ESS ASSOCIATION. ] NELSON, Friday. A plea of guilty to charges of visiting the streets for the purpose of betting was entered by James A. Anderson in the Nelson Police Court to-day. Accused was fined £25 on each of two counts. Harry McNab pleaded not guilty to a charge of frequenting Bridge Street for betting purposes. Ho was convicted and fined £4O. Security for appeal was fixed at £45.
