ABANDONMENT PROBABLE

In view of tho earthquake disaster it is probable that the annual conference of the British Medical Association of Now Zealand, which is scheduled to meot at Gisborno at tho end of February, will bo abandonod.

"Although nothing definite has been advised from Wellington headquarters, I think it probable that the conference will bo abandonod this year," said Mr. Kenneth' MacCormick, president of the Auckland branch of the association. In any event, ho added, there was considerable opinion among medical men that annual conferences were too frequent. The disaster would probably givo support for a biennial conference.
