DISTRESSED FARMERS.

CANADIAN WHEAT GROWERS. LARGE GRANT FOR RELIEF. OTTAWA. Jan. P. A relief grant of at least £4,000,000 will be made to distressed prairie farmers at the coming session of Parliament as a straight-out gift. Tt is conservatively estimated that as a result of low wheat prices 150,000 farmers are in need, with dependents numbering 600,000. The grant will very probably be on the basis of two dollars to every one granted by the provincial Governments.
