WHY I QUARREL WITH MY BROTHER.

BY A SISTER,

He will insist on interfering with my iriale interests. When 1 was a school girl he twitted mo about every hoy I spoke to, now he does nothing hut give me solemn warnings about my men friends. He loathes on sight every man who speaks to me He seems to think seventeen is too young for a girl to smoke, though he did it himself at fifteen, and 1 saw him light a cigarette onco for a girl I know is only sixteen. He gets out of everything. 1 have to fold his pyjamas, pick up his towels from the floor and do his mending. If I am all ready for a dance and my partner rings up to say his car has smashed up and he's miles away, will brother take me ? Will he ? Yet why shouldn't he take a nicely dressed not bad-looking sister of his own as much as someone else's sister? lie will remind mo of the things I did as a child, just when I m trying to impress people with my dignity. Why can t he seo that 1 am grown up now? He will think that because ho is two years older than mo he has a right to be fatherly! As if lam not ten years older now than he will ever bo!
