FILM OF GALLIPOLI.
CONSTRUCTION IN BRITAIN. SIR I. HAMILTON'S SPEECH. LONDON, Jan. 1. General Sir lan Hamilton is the world's most patient film actor, writes the Daily Mail's film critic, describing the reconstruction for Mr. Anthony Asquith's sound film "Tell England" of Sir lan's conference with the naval captains on tactics for the Gallipoli landing.
"You heard Sir lari Hamilton," says the critic, "saying, 'We havo decided to land upon Gallipoli, by God's mercy, Admiral. We are agreed on strategy. I would like to land the whole force in one hammer-like stroke, with the fullest violence'
"When, after a dozen rehearsals, the 'shooting' began, Sir lan's first few sentences were delivered, but a mechanic dropped a plank and the whole discussion had to be restarted."
