NIGHT NOISES.

gj r —The new regulations governing the parking of motor vehicles are now m force, much to our regret. We live at the Karangahape Road end of Belgium Street, and Tuesday night was a perfect nightmare. We were kept awake til midnight by the noise from a dance hall band. After midnight Syne" was sung, followed by God Save the King. Then the dancers came down to get into their cars, which were parked here Between starting up engines and slamming doors, sleep for us was.completely out of the question. What followed between 12 and 1.30 a.m. was even worse. The street outside here looked like a clearing house for_ taxicabs. 1 never thought such a noise would be allowed, and at such an hour. It is clear little or no regard is given to residents here, Thomas McDonai.d.
