Zinc pails can easily bo cleaned by scrubbing with warm soapy water, to which a jittle paraffin has been added.
Cheese will not go mouldy if wrapped in butter muslin wrung out in vinegar.
When pastry ta'.ces a long time to brown, sprinkle a littlo sugar on tho oven shelf.
Turpentine mixed with warm milk makes oilcloth look like new.
Two ounces of fuller's earth boiled in half a pint of vinegar and tho juico of three onions is excellent for removing scorch marks from linen.
Should the knob of a kettle lid become detached, placo a piece of cork over tho hole and drive in a scre>v from underneath. Cork is a poor conductor of boat.
