HOLIDAY PASTIMES.

WIDE CHOICE PROVIDED. WEEK'S SPORTING FIXTURES. Today the Auckland Racing Club will continue its Summer, Meeting at Ellerslie and the junior representative cricket match between Wellington and Auckland citv and suburbs will be played in the Domain. To-morrow the chief event is the second day of the Trotting Club's meeting at Alexandra Park. On Wednesday the Trotting Club's fixture will be concluded, and there will be broadsiding at Western Springs Stadium in the evening. New Year's Day will offer many attractions, chief among which are the races at Ellerslie, a regatta at Whangarei, and two cricket matches at Eden Park, Auckland against North Auckland and an Auckland team against Pukekohe.
