CENTRAL POWER BOARD.
LOAN FOR RETICULATION.
SANCTION FOR £60,000 SOUGHT.
[bt telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Wednesday.
The Central Electric-Power Board today decided to apply to the Local Government. Loans' Board for sanction to borrow £60,000 for reticulation work in the special area, comprising all the board's power district, with the exception of the recently-added portion of Raglan County. The engineer's report stated that the 11,000-volt.* line to supply the works of Waikato Carbonisation, Limited, in the Huntly district-, had been completed. The 11,000-volt extension to supply Glen Afton Collieries would probably be completed about the beginning of January.
