FLYING IN INDIA.
RECORD FOR ALTITUDE. 24,000 FEET ABOVE DELHI. (Received December 9. 10.5 p.m.) DELHI, Dec. 9. Flying-Officer Matthews and Lieutenant Grvlls, of the Royal Engineers, accomplished a height record for India yesterday by climbing in an aeroplane 24,000 ft. above New Delhi in 50 minutes. They obtained a wonderful view of the snowclad Himalayas.
