ALLEGATIONS OF THEFT.
MAM'S ARREST AT HAMILTON.
NUMEROUS CHARGES PENDING [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Tuesday.
A young man, Uric Ernest Monleilh, was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with stealing from the dwelling of Frederick Augustus Snell, Olaudelamls, (ho sum of £6 12s, tho properly of Christina Snell. Tho Court was crowded. Accused was arrested in a park yesterday. Detective-Sergeant Thompson asked for a remand until December 17. He said numerous other charges were, pending against accused, including house-break-ing, thefts from shops and from houses. Ho believed there would be at least, 15 charges. Mr. J. F. Strang asked for bail on accused's behalf. Counsel said that accused had eithor given or had undertaken to give full and complete information with respect, to the charges to bo preferred against him. The detective-sergeant said that if bail was granted accused would bo immediately rearrested on another charge. Mr. Wyvorn Wilson, S.M., fixed bail at £SOO, with two sureties of £250 each
