HOSPITAL BOARD RELIEF.

APPOINTMENT OF OFFICER. Following the retirement of Mr. 1 A. Plerbert Jones after 25 years as relieving officer of the Auckland Hospital Board, Mr. C. N. Newman, who for seven years has been assistant-relieving officer, has heen appointed to the position. Mr. J. H. Muir has been appointed assistant-reliev-ing officer. Sir. Jones has been presented with an upholstered chair by tho office staff of the board, the presentation being made by the secretary, Mr. H. A. Somerville.
