OWNERSHIP OF OIL.
RECENT FRAUD CASE. COURT DELIVERS JUDGMENT. [by tkleghai-h.-onvn correspondent.] WELLINGTON. Monday. The ownership of a quantity of oil, the subject of a written contract of sale and purchase between Socony Proprietary, Limited, and Morton Parker Pimentel, principal in the recent "Mecca" oil case, was settled by Mr. Justice Reed u. * reserved judgment delivered in the Supreme Court to-day. His Honor held that the property in the oil, which was valued at £562. had not passed from Socony Proprietary, and cave judgment accordingly. ' Upon consideration of (he contract and all tin circumstances," said lis Honor, I find that the intention of the P nUI V v ' * that the property in the goods should no puss until the payment ot the demand plaintiff company was awarded costs.
