A STAFF DANCE.
An attractive scone was presented in tho Romano Cabaret last evening when the staff of Woolworth's (N.Z.), Limited, held its first annual ball. Tho shaded lights cast their vari-colourcd glow over the pretty frocks with charming effect, and bowls of Iceland poppies, African daisies and tea roses, arranged on tho tables, added to tho attractiveness of tho scene. During tho evening a demonstration dance by Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. Priestley, and original novelty dances by the lloniano Boys were greatly ap] reciatcd. Among those present were: Miss Vigors (hostess), who wore a frock of blajk georgette witli a taffeta hem; Miss I>. Aston, in moonlight blue lace; Miss E. Ciir'so, ivory fischo not and georgette; Miss Ldna Ballantync, sea green embossed taffeta; Miss D. Heather, buttercup taffeta with a scalloped bluo hem; Miss Stevenson, turquoise bluo taffeta; Miss Deller, white taffeta and silver lace; Miss Gatward, powder bluo taffeta and frilled net: Miss Casoy, green floral taffeta; Mrs. J. Harper, white embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. Garton, white embossed chenille georgette; Mrs. Crawford Young. Naples blue lace; Miss V. Henley, apple green georgette; Miss Creadon, bluo frilled georgette; Miss E. Blair, midnight bluo georgette embroidered in gold; Miss Thelnia Scally, shell pink georgelto; Miss Young, flame ring velvet; Miss • Clayton/ apricot crepo de chine; Miss Berry, white crepe de chine; Miss Bailey, black taffeta; Miss Mangair, lomon crepe do chine; Miss Colebrook, saxo bluo georgette; Miss Barrington, beige georgette with floral embroideries.
