CONSTRUCTION AT RIVERTON.

, The new traffic bridge over the A pari ma River at lliverton, the building of which was begun about two years ago by the Public Works Department, was officially opened this afternoon by Mr. .Adam Hamilton. M.P. The new bridge is a handsonio concrete structure, 440 feet in length, composed of 11 40-foot spans. It has a footpath four feet in width. The estimated cost is £27,500. including the roadways of 18 feet, and it is expected that it will be finally completed under (he estimated cost, two-thirds of which is borne by the Main Highways Board and the remainder by the local bodies concerned.
