Nearly 2400 overseas travellers made Auckland their terminal port during October. Arrivals from all countries numbered 1780 arid departures 607, a total of 2387. The greatest number of people travelled between Auckland and Australia and the excess of arrivals from the Commonwealth was 267. Arrivals from Great Britain during the month included a large party of New Zealand farmers, who had been touring Britain and the Continent.
